Philip Sayle was born ca 1692 at Andreas. He married firstly Bahee Cotter on the 24th of July, 1714, at Andreas and secondly Ann Craine on the 2nd of May 1725. According to the burial record of his son Philip he was cooper by trade. He died on the 18th of February, 1776, and was buried at Andreas on the 20th of February.

This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of
Philip Sayle of the parish of KK Andreas who departed
this life on or about the 18th of February last 1776
being of sound mind and memory at the making and
declaring thereof some short time before his decease.

He declared that his son Philip owed him seven
pounds six pounds whereof he left to his Grand Daughter
Anne daughter of his son Thomas Sayle, who he said was
also a God-Daughter of his own.

Item He left to his daughter Anne the wife of Thomas
Radcliffe Forty shillings legacy.

Item to his daughter Bahee the wife of John Lawson
he left a Crown as legacy. and six pence a piece
to every one that would crave or claim any right to
or in his goods.

Lastly He nominated, constituted, ordained and
appointed his son Thomas Sayle sole and full Execr
of all the rest of his goods chattles and effects of
what kind nature or denomination sover

Philip Sayle

Philip Sayle was baptized on the 22nd of October, 1716, at Andreas. He died of smallpox and was buried at Andreas on the 2nd of September, 1725. The burial record indicates he was the son of Philip, cooper.
