Mary Brew was baptized on the 8th of April, 1792, at Andreas, the daughter of Philip Brew and Margaret Corlett. She married William Kinread on the 9th of November, 1816, at Andreas. She was buried at Jurby on the 27th March, 1862 when her age was given as 69 years.
A widow at the census of 1861, she was living in a cottage on Ballacrink with her unmarried daughter, Catherine, and two grand-children, Margaret Callister aged 9 and William Gell aged 2. At this time she was described as a landed proprietor.
