George Quarrie 1846 - 1926

George Quarrie was baptized on the 22nd of March, 1846, at Bride. He was living with his parents at the censuses of 1851-61. He has not been identified in the 1871 census. He married Margaret .... circa 1876. The 1881 census shows him and his family living at 31, Salthouse Road, Barrow-in-Furness. The family emigrated to the U.S.A. where he enjoyed a successful career as a journalist and author.
