Robert Wade was baptized on the 17th of August, 1763, at Jurby. He married Ann Cannell on the 5th of June, 1790, at Michael. He was buried on the 8th of June, 1832, at Jurby.

In the name of God Amen.
I Robert Wade of Ballvarran in the parish
of Jurby being advanced in years and feeble
in body but by the blessing of God of a
sound disposing mind memory and understanding
and considering the uncertainty of this
transitory life do make publish and declare
my last will and testament in manner following:
First I commend my soul into the hands of
Almighty God and my body to the
earth be buried in decent Christian burial.
I leave and bequeath unto my son John the table and chair in the kitchen the
bedstead in the parlour, the two bedsteads which is in the room
above the kitchen and the plough and harrows and all my shaped apparel.
To my grandchildren the children of my son John and aforesaid namely Margaret,
John, Mary, Robert, James, and Ann Wade I leave and bequeath the sum of
forty eight pounds British equally between them, but if one or more of them
(the said children ) depart this life before they attain the age of twenty
one years then and in that case the said sum of forty eight pounds to be
equally divided among the survivors of them. He my said
son John to have the use and benefit of the said sum of forty eight
pounds until the said children severally attain the age of twenty one
years.
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter in law Catharine Wade alias Kewin the
sum of five pounds British and to her two children namely John and Elizabeth
the sum of ten pounds British each and if so be that if one of
the last mentioned children depart this life before he or she attain the
age of twenty one years then and in that case the survivor of the them the
use and benefit of the said sum of twenty pounds bequeathed to them and my
said daughter in law to have the use and benefit of the said sum
of twenty pounds until her said children attain severally the age of
twenty one years.
I leave and bequeath unto my sister Ann widow of Michael Kewish the
sum of five pounds British.
I leave and bequeath and devise unto my son Thomas a certain Meadow commonly
called Clarks Meadow which was the property of John
Callister of Lonan and Margaret his wife and purchased by me at a Coroner's
Sale of the said meadow.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my said son Thomas sole
executor of this my last will and testament and residuary legatee of all
the rest of my goods, cash, bills, notes, bonds, securities, mortgages,
credits, and effects of whatsoever nature and denomination
