John Henry Lawson was born on the 16th June, 1875, and was baptized on the 11th of July at Lonan. He married Jemetta helena Fayle on the 20th of December, 1906, at Lonan. He was buried at Lonan on the 9th of February, 1911.
In 1881 he was living with his parents at 5, Old Laxey. In 1891 he was still living at home (35, Old Laxey) and was employed as a general labourer. In 1901 he was living with his parents at The Shore, Laxey, and was a fisherman working to his own account. He is believed to have worked for a time at the gold mines in South Africa and to have lost money in the collapse of Dumbell's Bank.
Jemetta was born ca 1886. She married John Henry Lawson on the 20th of December, 1906, at Lonan. A burial has not been located.
In 1891 she was living with her parents (John Fayle & Janetta Scarffe) at 13, Bellthorn Road, Laxey together with her siblings:- Eliza J born ca 1885; Elizabeth born ca 1888; John Alfred born ca 1890. In 1901 she was living with her parents at the Mill House, Laxey.
John Robert Lawson was born 1910. He died in a road accident and was buried at Lonan on the 7th of July, 1938, when his age was recorded as 28 years.
