Edward Lawson was baptized on the 18th of August, 1793, at Rushen. He married Isabella Bridson on the 23rd of February, 1815, at Malew. Although their six children were born in Castletown, the family left the Island for Liverpool, at the latest in May of 1841 for it is known that Mary Ann died in Liverpool on the 9th of May, 1841, though she was buried with her younger brother, Edward, at Malew.
Isabella Bridson (1619) was born circa 1787 at Rushen. She married Edward Lawson on the 23rd of February, 1815, at Malew.
In 1830 she inherited from her aunt, Ann Bridson, a house in Gough Courth, Parliament Street, in the parish of Upper Harington in the Park, Liverpool. Isabella was to enjoy the rents and proceeds from the property during her lifetime, after which the property was to be sold and the proceeds divided among her children. The property was not to be encumbered by any debts of her husband, Edward.
