James Lawson was baptized on the 9th of June, 1833, at Lonan. He married Mary Ann Mylroie onthe 8th of June, 1854, at Lonan. He was buried on the 2nd of June, 1888, at Lonan.
In 1841 he was living with his parents at Laxey Glen. In 1851 he was employed as a labourer at the Laxey mines and living with his parents. In 1861 and 1871 he was employed as a miner. In 1881 he was living with his wife and two children at 14, Glen Road, Laxey.
Mary Ann Mylroie was born in 1834 at Lonan. She has not been positively identified in the 1841 or 1851 censuses. She married James Lawson on the 8th
of June, 1854, at Lonan. She was buried on the 12th of June, 1888, at Lonan.James Albert Lawson was born in 1854 at Lonan. A baptism has not been found for that year but his age was recorded as 6 years in the 1861 census. There is a probable baptism on the 20th of October, 1871, at Lonan most likely as a prelude to marriage. He appears in the 1881 census with a wife, Mary Elizabeth, at 43, Meadow Lane, Haughton, Lancashire, when he was employed as a schoolteacher. His wife was born ca 1855 at Saddleworth, Yorkshire. Two children appear in the 1881 census:- Marion born 1878 at Saddleworth and James F born 1880 at Haughton.
Miriam Lawson was baptized on the the 12th of July, 1857, at Lonan. She was living with her parents in 1861 and 1871. she was described as a pupil teacher. She has not been found in the 1881 census under her maiden name.
Frederick Lawson was baptized on the 23rd of March, 1862, at Lonan. In 1881 he was working as a draper for Richard Quine in Douglas. He has not been found in the 1891 or 1901 censuses./p
Frances Lawson was baptized on the 20th of June, 1869, at Lonan. In 1871 and 1881 she was living with her parents. She has not been found under her maiden name in 1891.
Edwin Percy Mylroie Lawson was baptized onthe 5th of May, 1876, at Lonan. He was living with his parents in 1881. He has not been found in the 1891 census.
