Margaret Corkish was baptized on the 15th of December, 1782, at Rushen. She married John Woods on the 21st of September, 1809, at Rushen. She was buried on the 14th of May, 1854, at Arbory when her age was recorded as seventy-one years.
In 1841 she appears to be living at Water Lane, Douglas, with her daughter Ann. At this time she was employed as a washerwoman. In 1851 she was living in School Lane, Castletown, on parish relief.
John Woods was born ca 1738. There is a baptism for John, son of John, on the 25th of March, 1788, at Arbory. He married Margaret Corkish on the 21st of September, 1809, at Rushen. He appears to have died before the census of 1841. A burial for John Woods on the 30th of April, 1826, at Arbory has been noted.
