William Corkish was baptized on the 23th of November, 1788, at Rushen. He was Confirmed by Bishop Creggan on the 10th of August, 1803 at Malew. He married firstly Margaret Parks on the 18th of August, 1810, at Malew and secondly to Isabella Simpson on the 4th of September, 1841, at Santan. He was buried on the 28th of April, 1853, at Rushen.
William seems to have worked mainly as a miner though he is known to have also earned a living as a shoemaker.
